−−−−−−−−−−−−−−　in Japanese　−−−−−−−−−−−−−−− HINESメール利用者　各位 　　　　　　　　メールサーバの移行について 　　　　　　　　来(2005)年度の継続について 《メールサーバの移行》 　過日メール(2/1発信)でお知らせしました、容量の増量や性能向上に向けた メールサーバの移行を4月3日(日)に行うことになりました。作業は、15:00- 17:00を予定していますが、状況により終了が遅れる場合があります。 　その間、メールの送受信ができません。移行日以降、下記要領にて設定の 変更等をお願いいたします。 　なお、作業中に届いたメールは、作業終了後新サーバへ送られます。 　＊現サーバにアカウントは無いが転送されている方は、新サーバでも 　　転送されるよう設定されます(転送が必要ない方はお知らせください)。 1.移行後の現サーバ(POP・Web)内のメールの読み込み 　最初に、現サーバ内に残っている作業前までに届いたメールを、 　「oldpop.sys.hokudai.ac.jp」に接続してメールを読み込んでください。 　パスワードは、現サーバで利用中のものです。 　移行後原則6ヶ月間読み込むことだけが可能です。 2.現サーバで転送先の設定を行っている方 　5項を参照して、転送先の確認を行い違っていた場合、設定をしなおしてく 　ださい(情報は、2/3に収集したものです。4/3までの間に設定や変更した場 　合、新サーバに反映されません)。 　 3.新サーバのPOP利用 　PID・POPサーバ・SMTPサーバは同じですが、パスワードは初期パスワードに 　設定されています。 4.新サーバのWebメール利用 　現在と同じように利用できますが、パスワードは初期パスワードに設定され 　ており、GraceMailのバージョンが3から5に変更されています。 現サーバでは、fromが自動的に「UID@サブドメイン.hokudai.ac.jp」に設定 　されていましたが、新サーバでは、自分で設定しないと、 　「PID@pop.sys.hokudai.ac.jp」になります。 注意：Webメールを主に利用されている方(容量について) 　　　　メールは、POPサーバで受信され、Webのディレクトリーにコピーを 　　　　行い、それをWebで読むようになっています。Webでゴミ箱のメール 　　　　を削除しても、Webのディレクトリーの分が削除されただけなので、 　　　　POPのサーバにメールは溜まったままになっています。容量は、Web 　　　　とPOPの両方を足したものになっています。 　　　Webmailの設定で「受信方法の設定」中で「受信したメールをメール 　　　　サーバから消す。」にチェックを付けることによって、POPサーバから 　　　　メールを削除できます。 　　　　 5.パスワードの変更・転送先の設定・容量の確認(学外からも接続可能) 　HINESのホームページhttp://www.hokudai.ac.jp/hines/から接続するか 　https://pop.sys.hokudai.ac.jp:9091/へ接続して、PID・パスワードを投入 　することにより行えます(4/3作業終了後可能)。 　・パスワードの変更：現パスワードと新パスワード(2回)を投入する 　・転送先の設定：一行に１アドレスを設定する 　　(例)\xx999(自分のメールボックスに残しながら、他のアドレスへ転送 　　　　　　　 する場合、\記号と自分のPIDを設定する。しない場合は、 　　　　　　　 転送先のアドレスでしかメールを読めません） 　　　 wwwzzz@qqq.aa.ac.jp(転送先アドレス) 　　　 hhh@sss.bbb.com(　　　〃　　 ) 　・容量の確認：使用量と容量がブロック単位されます(1ブロック１Kbyte)。 　　　　　　　　60,000(60Mbyte,POP+Web)に設定されています 　　　　　　　　(現行サーバ15Mbyte)。 　注意：パスワードについて 　　　　メール用とHINES Direct(IP申請・所属変更等手続き)用は、現 　　　　サーバでは一元管理できていましたが、移行後新サーバ(メール 　　　　用)と現サーバ(HINES Direct用)に分離されるため、パスワード 　　　　を変更した場合それぞれになります。 《来年度の継続》 1.今年度は、継続の手続きは必要ありませんので、そのままご利用くだ 　さい。 2.来年度継続されない方 　件名を「POP削除申請」にし、hines@iic.hokudai.ac.jp宛に、PID(枝番を 　持っていれば枝番も）・氏名・削除希望日(土・日・祝祭除く)・転送 　設定の有無を明記してメールしてください。 　ただし、現サーバで2/3-4/3の間に転送設定を作成や変更した場合は、 　新サーバに反映されませんので、削除希望日を4/3以降にして(自分で 　作業する日以降)、ご自分で新サーバに接続し(上記5項参照)、転送先 　を設定しなおしてください(ご自分でできない場合は、転送先を削除申 　請メールに明記しておいてください)。　　　　 2005.3.17 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * 北海道大学情報基盤センター ネットワーク係 電話:011-706-3456/2944 E-mail:hines@iic.hokudai.ac.jp * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * −−−−−−−−−−−−−−−　in English　−−−−−−−−−−−−−− Dear HINES Mail Users Announcement for mail server replacement and Announcement for continuation of mail server utilization The mail server will be replaced to new server on 3 April in order to promote its performance. We are planning to perform this replacement between 15:00 and 17:00. But, the termination time of the replacement may change. You can not send and receive email during this replacement. But, the emails sent to you during the replacement are kept and they are forwarded to new server after the replacement is over. Please change your settings for mail server as follows after the replacement is over. 1.The acquisition of emails in old email server after the replacement First, please get the emails received before the replacement starts. Please perform this task by connecting to "oldpop.sys.hokudai.ac.jp". Please use the present password because the password is not changed Basically, old mail server can be used for six months after the replacement. 2.The users which have forwarding configuration in old server Please confirm the forwarding configuration by following number 5. If the forwarding configuration is wrong, please modify it. (The forwarding configuration in old server was collected on 3 Feb. Therefore, if you changed it between 3 Feb. and 3 April, this forwarding configuration is not reflected to new server. ) 3.The utilization of pop of new server The PID, POP server and SMTP server is same as old server. But, the password is initialized to initial password. 4.The utilization of web mail on new server The way of web mail utilization is same as old one. But the password is changed to initial password. The version of GraceMail is updated from ver.3 to ver.5. In present server, "from" is automatically set to "UID@"subdomain".hokudai.ac.jp". But, in new server, this is not automatically set. If you don't set this, "from" becomes "PID@pop.sys.hokudai.ac.jp". *Attention: Users which use mainly web mail The web mail receive the copy of email in POP server. Therefore, the original email remains in POP server even if you deleted email on web mail. If you want to remove the original email in POP server by web mail, you can remove the original email in POP server by selecting the item of "Delete of email in POP server" in web mail. 5.Change of password, setup of forwarding configuration and check of capacity (These tasks can be performed by external PC.) These tasks can be carried out by connecting to homepage of HINES (http://www.hokudai.ac.jp/hines/) or to https://pop.sys.hokudai.ac.jp:9091/. After establishing connection, they can be performed by inputting PID and password. ・Change of password: Please input the present password and a new password (2 times). ・Setup of forwarding configuration: Please describe one forwarding address on one line. Example: the case where you want to save email to your mailbox and to forward it to other address. Please describe PID (xx999) which has \ and the forwarding address. If the PID is not described, email is not saved to your mailbox. \xx999 (PID having \) wwwzzz@qqq.aa.ac.jp (forwarding address) hhh@sss.bbb.com (forwarding address) ・Check of capacity: The amount used and the capacity is given by Block unit. (one block means 1 kbyte) In new server, the amount of POP+Web is 60Mbytes. (In old server,the amount was 15Mbytes.) *Attention: About password Currently, the password for email and HINES Direct (Application of IP and affiliation change) is equal because unitary management is performed. However, after the replacement, the unitary management for the password is not performed. Therefore, you must manage the password on each server. <> 1.You don't need to perform the appplication for continuance in this academic year. Please use the server continuously. 2.Users which don't use the server in next academic year are Please send the email which has the title of "delete HINES POP" to hines@iic.hokudai.ac.jp. In the contents of email, your PID, name, the day of choice for delete must be described. If you have forwarding configuration, it must be also described to the content of email. Moreover, the forwarding configuration is not deleted even if user account is deleted from the server. Therefore, if you changed the forwarding configuration between 3 Feb. and 3 April, this configuration must reflect to new server by following number 5, because the forwarding configuration which was modified between 3 Feb. and 3 April is not automatically reflected to new server.
